THINKING POWER, HYBRID PERFORMANCE
i-MMD technology provides a responsive, smooth and efficient driving experience, seamlessly delivering optimum power by automatically switching between three driving modes: Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive.
Put simply, Electric Drive is when the car is running silently on pure electricity and drawing its power from the battery via a drive motor; this mode will usually be used when accelerating from standstill or during low speed cruising. In Hybrid Drive, both the petrol engine and electric motors are sharing the work, for example when accelerating at speed. Engine Drive, as the name implies, is when the petrol engine is directly powering the car - such as during sustained high-speed motoring.
i-MMD’s winning hand is that as well as using the petrol engine to generate electricity, it can harvest otherwise wasted energy to recharge the battery, meaning you’ll never have to plug your CR-V Hybrid in to the mains. To help you monitor your energy use, a unique.
